about

In the spring of 2004 when Guszti arrived we were just one of the cat-owners living in the centre of the town. Laci was a great expert of dogs’ souls since he kept German Shepherds for a long time … and I was an admirer of sighthounds. I spent the summers of my childhood in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county where there is a great tradition of hunting with Magyar Agárs. In small villages, like in my grandma’s village, numbers of Magyar Agárs wandered on the street without anybody to tell them what to do. I was always amazed by these animals who withstood children’s stroking and hug with great patience and they then looked like as giants to me. In the back of my mind I knew it all the time that sighthounds would take a major part of my life. When we resolved on buying a dog it was a simple question without any concern: it must have been a sighthound. Guszti just bought our heart immediately and thanks to him we became adorers of Whippets. It was January of 2005 when Cókmók, the Magyar Agár arrived to our home so that to fulfil Laci’s wishes for heavy-built hounds and my childhood-dreams about Magyar Agár. Since then sighthounds mean everything for us; we share in so many new friendships and meet numerous wonderful people. In December 2005 Kapor arrived from Poland, in 2006 Ara joined us, and in 2007 came Willow as a special guest, and the real adventure’s begun….Our conception of breeding is about mixing the perfect look and excellent performance. We want to prefer black, and black and white colours by breeding Whippets. We want these dogs to do eminently in shows and in coursings as well, while they must be also healthy, intelligent family dogs with excellent temperament. Our goal is to introduce “PetrezselyemProjekt” as the trademark of health, beauty and high quality.
